Friends and Neighbors of the Brookwood Club,
I hope you are all enjoying this
wonderful spring! We are very excited
that the weather has finally gotten milder, and we hope that this will continue
in the months ahead!
Thanks to all who were able to
attend the annual meeting earlier this month, and thanks again to Otis &
Patty Abernathy for hosting. We express
our deep gratitude to Dave Lawrence and Clark Scheurman for their dedicated
service as trustees, and to Diane Ramos for her tireless and diligent service as
treasurer. Thank you, Diane, Dave, and
Clark!
Following election by the
membership, we are pleased to announce that Matt
D’Arcy, Chris Haas, and I will begin new terms as trustees. Elections for officers are held each year by
the trustees after the annual meeting, and I am honored to be able to continue
to serve as president this year. Laurene Sweet will continue as vice
president. We are also thrilled to
announce that Beth D’Arcy will begin
serving as our new treasurer and that Norma
Shuskey will continue as secretary.
I also thank our other trustees, Patty Abernathy, Mark Dickard, and Sean Ward,
for their hard work and commitment to the neighborhood.
Thank you also to all those who helped plan and who attended our various social events this past year. It is always so enjoyable getting together! This year we will continue with our social events coordinated by the various streets. The trustees will be discussing this planning in our meeting on May 8, so please contact one of the trustees if you have specific requests or suggestions.
I especially wish to thank all of you for being
such wonderful neighbors and friends, and for making this such a special place
to live. We look forward to another year
full of fun and friendship!
